Going #Shotleft with #Stellenblog
It forms part of the acclaimed destination marketing campaign, Stellenbosch Experience, developed by Destinate, in partnership with Stellenbosch Wine Routes and Stellenbosch 360, in order to grow Stellenbosch’s market share of domestic and international visitors.
The initiative, which covers the greater Stellenbosch region, aims to not only promote Stellenbosch globally as a leading wine tourism destination, but to showcase the depth of Stellenbosch’s offering beyond its quality wine.
There is plenty to look forward to for #Stellenblog this year. A whole new crew is ready to hit the streets and farm roads in search of an authentic Stellenbosch experience. The beautiful City of Oaks will once again tell its story through the innovative use of online influencers, when eleven local and international bloggers head to the town and its surrounds to share their personal experiences of Stellenbosch across a variety of digital platforms.

They will be joined by five online influencers from Johannesburg as part of the #ShotLeft and #Stellenblog collaboration and will introduce their audiences to the region and its people through a sensory journey of food, wine, adventure, art, design, shopping and history.
The #Stellenblog party will again be the highlight of the campaign. It’s a glamorous opportunity with close to two hundred guests coming together, to share and celebrate the magic of Stellenbosch and its offerings. With a focus on the element of surprise, the location of the party is one of the region's best kept secrets. The #Stellenblog crew and guests alike are not told the location until a few hours before. An evening of delight, with lots of delectable eats as well as a seemingly endless flow of superb wines from some of the region's best farms will be on offer. Add to that the resplendent atmosphere of the winelands, cool tunes by I See A Different You trio from Johannesburg and great company; it is sure to another unforgettable party!

The Johannesburg influencers include media, celebrities and online influencers. Phila Tyekana is a senior journalist from True Love Magazine and content producer for Metro FM. She describes herself as a lover of life and a keen traveler. Thapelo Mokoena is a well-known South African actor and producer with a charismatic presence on his social media platforms. Thapelo is also the owner and founder of Easy Sundays productions, a company that makes Films and TV shows. Liz Ogumbo-Regisford is a creative entrepreneur, originally from Kenya, based in South Africa with a specific focus on music in fashion and fashion in music. Liz is an African creative passionate about style, music, food and lifestyle. She is a fashion designer, performing artist, host & producer of the Fashion Lab TV & Radio show. They are joined by Hussain van Roos, a Soweto local and founder of Fixín Diaries. Fixin diaries creates custom bikes and host social cycling events that are attended by cyclists from different ethnic groups. Hussain is also a brand and lifstyle consultant and Ben Sherman ambassador. Jeffrey Rikhotso, photographer, social media influencer and K-Swiss ambassador completes the group.
