We recently stumbled upon Ama’Tekkie and instantly fell in love with the Ama Retro sneaker! It boasts a subtle African-inspired print and attention to detail with a beautiful white finish. A super sleek design to compliment any outfit!
We also love the fact that there's a heartwarming story behind the Ama'Tekkie brand: it all started in 1995 when three labourers working in the construction industry in Worcester decided that running to work was better than spending most of their salary on taxi fare. Soon Elias, Atwell and Lorence discovered that running wasn't just a means of getting to work, but also a great way to keep fit and healthy. Unfortunately, the running gear they used wore out quite soon, so they connected with a local business owner who saw their potential and helped kit them out and transport them to races. This was the start of an inspiring 24-year journey! Through the vision and relationships built by the four individuals, an exciting new range of Ama Tekkies for men, women and children was launched in 2019.

"Mantsho" is a Sesotho name meaning “Black is Beautiful” and was established by Mokubung in 2004.
The Mantsho x H&M collection is set to drop on in all South African stores, at exclusive flagship stores across the globe, and online on 15 August 2019. Mokubung is the first African designer who will have her fashion apparel at the retailer's stores worldwide.
